THE WANDERERS · The Wirchblood Line
In the plague-ridden heart of the Middle Ages, loyalty is the rarest form of magic. When time sends Gabriel and his friends into a war-torn past, they must trust a dying knight whose courage may outlast his years — and whose final secret could change everything

Lava revealed to Gabriel the troubles left behind by her predecessor, Odilia de Morse — problems that Gabriel vowed to resolve.
To do so, she sent him, his friends, and their unlikely ally, the undead warrior Holug, back to the Middle Ages.
They arrived in the year 1306, where they encountered the former military commander Drustan. Gaining his trust and friendship, the young travellers found in him both a guide and a guardian. Drustan, in turn, saw in them the family he had long lost. He led them safely through a world and a time that were strange beyond measure, protecting them as his own.
Even as illness crept upon him, Drustan refused to surrender. When Gabriel himself was struck by the plague, the old soldier risked everything to outwit his former comrades and bring the group safely back to King’s Village. Though weakened and weary, he devoted his final strength to the young wanderers, eager to hear tales from a future he could scarcely imagine.
Day after day, they fought their way forward — until the great battle between the rebels and the forces of Odilia de Morse revealed a truth none of them had foreseen.
